BayCare Clinic Ribbon Cutting

Smet Continues to Serve the Medical Sector

The health care sector continues to expand in Green Bay and Smet Construction Services is happy to be a part of this expansion and has constructed several medical facilities in the past year.  Recently completed was a new 6,000 SF office build-out for the BayCare Health Systems Support Services which has expanded its presence in downtown Green Bay’s On Broadway District.
Mike Schmidt, BayCare’s Senior Manager, who spear-headed the expansion project, said, “We basically ran out of space. We had people working under staircases and in basements!  As we continue to grow, with that comes support services, and we just ran out of room!”
BayCare is very active in the On Broadway District, with its leadership serving on the On Broadway board as well as being the lead sponsor of the popular Farmer’s Market that takes place each Wednesday in the On Broadway District during warmer months. BayCare has 13 northeast Wisconsin clinic locations and its employees come from throughout the region.
Earlier this year, Smet constructed clinics for Bellevue Total Health, Tower Clock Eye Center and Tower Clock Surgical Center.  We are also currently working on a medical facility in nearby Shawano. If you have a health care facility you need to expand or construct, stop in and see us. We’ll listen to your needs and help you determine your options. And we look for ways to save you time and money to get your project open on time and on budget!
